Musicians of the orchestra tossed aside results of the public's phone-in vote to determine the winner, which is apparently some talentless child who only managed to gather the votes due to his previous appearance(s) on Italian reality television.

The media dubbed a recent Egyptian-Latino racial conflict in Milano a 'guerrilla' action. Perhaps. So, why not send in the army? It surely beats sending them off to Iraq. Seems Italy always finds itself hugger-muggered into foreign conflicts that are pointless to its own national interests... this time, while Milano burns. But I digress; quelling an insurgency in a far-off land, uprooting the Sicilian mafia or stomping out racist (and colonist) militias in your own cities are all relatively simple actions if has even a little determination, social cohesion and dignity... all traits sorely lacking from Los Angeles to Berlin.

News is sketchy at this hour; I've read reports of anything between one and three of these troglodytes attempting to break-in and murder the poor old fellow. I suppose it'll be clear by sunrise. In other news, over a thousand cars torched during Saint-Sylvester 'celebrations' in Paris, about the same number of incidents reported last year.
