The Last Black Optimate
(Lt. Col) Allen West is a retired US Army officer, who was forced out while deployed in Iraq for slapping some Iraqi police officer suspected of working as a mole or informant for local insurgents. He is now campaigning for Florida's 22nd district.
Allen West is, in fact, the last Black Optimate.
"You want to dig up Charles Martel and ask him why him why he was fighting the Muslim army at the Battle of Tours in 732? You want to ask the Venetian fleet at Lepanto why they were fighting a Muslim fleet in 1571? You want to ask... the Germanic and Austrian knights why they were fighting at the gates of Vienna in 1683? You want to ask people what happened at Constantinople and why today it is called Istanbul because they lost that fight in 1453? ...
Until you get principled leadership in the United States of America that is willing to say that, we will continue to chase our tail, because we will never clearly define who this enemy is, and then understand their goals and objectives--which (are) on any jihadist website--and then come up with the right (and) proper objectives to not only secure our Republic but secure Western civilization."

The Sanremo Orchestra Revolt - Too little, too late
Reactionary outburst at the Sanremo music festival
Musicians of the orchestra tossed aside results of the public's phone-in vote to determine the winner, which is apparently some talentless child who only managed to gather the votes due to his previous appearance(s) on Italian reality television.

Salame Milanese
The media dubbed a recent Egyptian-Latino racial conflict in Milano a 'guerrilla' action. Perhaps. So, why not send in the army? It surely beats sending them off to Iraq. Seems Italy always finds itself hugger-muggered into foreign conflicts that are pointless to its own national interests... this time, while Milano burns. But I digress; quelling an insurgency in a far-off land, uprooting the Sicilian mafia or stomping out racist (and colonist) militias in your own cities are all relatively simple actions if has even a little determination, social cohesion and dignity... all traits sorely lacking from Los Angeles to Berlin.

Auguri di Buon Anno
Just more Orcish violence to help kick off the new year. News is sketchy at this hour; I've read reports of anything between one and three of these troglodytes attempting to break-in and murder the poor old fellow. I suppose it'll be clear by sunrise. In other news, over a thousand cars torched during Saint-Sylvester 'celebrations' in Paris, about the same number of incidents reported last year.
